How did they manage it?!

This is driving me bonkers. Ok recently I've been trying to make mocups of screen captures and add in a effect that replicates the look of a old CRT monitor. If you don't know what I mean rewatch Wreck-It Ralph and when it shows a close up of Ralph saying "I'm gonna wreck it!" in his 8-bit look pause it and look closely at Ralp. Notice ho he seems to have a checkered pattern to him? Thats the effect I'm after. t comes from the way a old tv works and I'm not sure if it's just scanlines or something else that involves Shadow mask but it is just down right near impossible for me to figure out on my own.

A friend of mine can do a good scanline effect but it's not this effect. Gonna ask around tomorrow see if any others in my group know how to figur it out.

Oh a bit of good news my father is no longer having treatments for his infection that require a picc line. He still has some antibiotics to take but those are pills.

One last note my friend Dslad bought me New Vagas so I'll be playing that between my work. Oddly it runns better on my pc than FO3 go figure.
