Tanya the track inspection engine and Rebecca the

Ah at long last I have put together my sprites of Tanya the smallest CVR engine and her best friend and Works Coach Rebecca.

Tanya is based off Shropshire and Montgomeryshire No. 1 Gazelle and Rebecca is based off of a Sri Lankian coach.

Tanya is a tiny little engine just like her sister Gazelle but even so she can pull small trains of special works trucks and Rebecca with ease as though she wheighs just slightly more than Rocket she also has more torque and can reach 45 MPH light engine so never over look this little one. Even so she is not terribly strong and she is very timid when meeting new people and engines.

But that's where Rebecca comes in and helps Tanya make friends better. Rebecca is somewhat of a older sister to Tanya and makes sure no one bullies her. She may be a small coach but you don't want to get on her bad side. Luckily Rebecca has a soft heart and is one to make a joke before starting a fight.

Everyone on the Cobden Valley Railway has taken to calling Tanya Tillie after Lewis nicknamed her that when they first met. Lewis has no idea why but he has said since that he just had a feeling it would suit her in the US. Tanya likes the nickname and will answer to both happily.

I do hope you all like Tanya and Rebecca. Tanya has been on my list of engines for the CVR since I first saw Gazelle and when I saw the Sri Lankian coach I based Rebecca on I knew the two fit together. TTAnya's nickname of Tillie is a reference to two animated movies from my childhood. One is a Don Bluth film "An American Tale" if you've never seen it a family of mice imigrate from Russia during the era of Ellis Island's Immigration policy. Such as only so many were allowed in per family, Names were subject to on the spot change to "Fit in" and luckily the film left out some of the more nastier parts of that era. But one of the character's is named Tanya the immigration officer renames her to Tillie.  

Now that's why Lewis is the one who gave her the nickname. It wasn't anything malicious from the American built Mogul just something in his mind made him think that Tanya was a "little Tillie" the other reference is even more obvious to rail fans as well as animation buffs as this was the name given to "The Little Engine That Could" in the 1990 Animated movie which featured a all star cast including a voice who wouldn't be so well know till he became a teen titan Scott Menville better known as Loyd Irving, Robin, Max in Dark Chronicls/cloud 2 and many others.

Rebecca is named after my mother and I tried my best to emulate her face in this but I do not have any photos of my mom at this time. (I need to get some copies made from my aunt's collection) So I was only able to get the nose even remotely close. Like my mother Rebecca has a scar on her forehead. I've not thought of a reason for it in the series yet but the workmen all call it a Beauty mark/

I hope you all like the two they took so log because I had to make Rebecca's sprite from another coach Blueprint. That did give me some other coaches but they will be posted later when I'm ready. For now I hope you all enjoy them and I hope Tanya is as adorable to you as she is to me and Rebecca.

Now depending on how much time I have on my hands this week I may make a special sprite connected to the CVR. But if not my next sprite will be one I've been meaning to get to work on. A background and my first true commission. Not sure if I'll post it as that is up to the buyer but he has waited long enough on my off the clock creations.
